Chloris
Langhe Doc Rosato
Chloris is intended to demonstrate the vocation and potential of the Langhe soils for this grape variety. A wine of great olfactory typicality and excellent minerality on the palate, it owes its name to the sparrow that stands out on the label, once again a child of Gianni Gallo’s art.
Vineyard of production:
Adjacent to the winery
Winemaking:
Pressing of whole grapes, 50% crushing and use of free-run juice only. Natural settling and alcoholic fermentation at low temperature to preserve the floral aromas and to extract more fruit notes.
Aging:
In steel tanks for 4-5 months. Does not undergo malolactic fermentation.
Tasting notes:
Pale pink colour to the eye. The nose expresses itself with dominant hints of citrus and floral notes. The palate reveals itself to be rich and vibrant; pleasant freshness and excellent cleanliness at the end. The finish in the mouth is spicy and citrusy with hints of pink grapefruit and not lacking in slight tannin. Fragrant and fine, it ensures a very pleasant and light drink without making it predictable.
